A well-respected UHNW family in Amsterdam is seeking a passionate and service-oriented Butler to join their  household. The family, successful entrepreneurs, lead an active and family-focused lifestyle with their four children. Their elegant 1,000 m² residence is run with professionalism and care by a dedicated team including housekeepers, a team of nannies, and a private chef. The Butler will become the family’s trusted point of contact, ensuring the smooth coordination of daily life and creating an atmosphere of warmth, discretion, and effortless service.
This is a long-term, live-out position, ideal for a proactive candidate based in or near Amsterdam, who instinctively anticipates needs, reads the room with ease, and embraces the opportunity to learn and grow within a distinguished household.

Key Responsibilities

• Household Management: Oversee daily operations and ensure the home runs smoothly at all times. You will also assist with planning and organizing the family’s move to a new residence next year.

• Family Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between the family, staff, and external contractors (gardening, pool, maintenance, etc.).

• Service & Hospitality: Provide elegant table service and ensure guests are warmly welcomed and comfortably attended to.

• Wardrobe & Valet Duties: Maintain the family’s wardrobe, handle packing/unpacking, and ensure clothing and accessories are cared for meticulously.

• Inventory & Organization: Manage household supplies, ensuring the home is always well-stocked and orderly.

• Coordination & Events: Assist with table settings, dinner service, and family gatherings, liaising with florists, caterers, and other vendors when needed.

• Kitchen Support: Coordinate with the family’s chef, ensuring the kitchen and pantry are well supplied according to family preferences.

• Wine & Beverage Service: Curate and serve wine and beverages in line with family tastes and occasions.

Profile & Requirements

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a hands-on and proactive attitude.

• Discreet, trustworthy, and comfortable working in a high-profile environment with notable guests.

• Excellent communication skills and a natural sense of etiquette and presentation.

• Able to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively.

• Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage.

• Prior experience in private households or luxury hospitality preferred.

• holds a valid EU driver’s license and is comfortable driving when required

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-time position with flexibility required based on the family’s schedule.

• Salary: €45,000 – €70,000 gross per year, depending on experience. complemented by an attractive benefits package.

• The family travels frequently during school holidays — the butler is not required to travel with them.
