Private Residence | Amsterdam | 24 Hours per Week (3 Days)

A distinguished private family residence in Amsterdam is seeking two experienced and professional Housekeepers to join an established household team from mid-July 2026.

The residence is managed in close collaboration with an experienced Butler, who oversees the daily household operation and coordination. The Housekeepers will be responsible for maintaining the residence to the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation.

This opportunity is ideally suited to candidates with previous experience in private households, luxury hospitality, or high-end service environments, who understand the importance of discretion, attention to detail, and professional standards.

Position Overview

The Housekeepers will be responsible for the daily upkeep and presentation of the residence, ensuring all living spaces are maintained to an exceptional standard at all times.

Particular care is required when handling luxury finishes, delicate materials, artwork, wellness facilities, and refined interiors.

The successful candidates will work as part of a structured household team and report directly to the Butler.

The family is seeking two permanent Housekeepers, each working approximately 24 hours per week across 3 days (6–8 hours per day). Together, both Housekeepers will provide coverage for six days per week, excluding Sundays.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and upkeep of the residence
• Periodic deep cleaning and detailed housekeeping
• Laundry and linen care, including washing, ironing, and garment maintenance
• Making beds and maintaining bedrooms and bathrooms to impeccable standards
• Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of wellness, spa, and gym areas
• Pantry and kitchen upkeep in coordination with the Butler
• General organisation and presentation throughout the residence
• Careful maintenance of delicate materials, natural stone surfaces, luxury finishes, and artwork
• Monitoring household supplies and reporting requirements to the Butler
• Working efficiently and discreetly around the family’s schedule and presence

Please note: wardrobe management, packing and unpacking of luggage, and clothing organisation are managed by the Butler.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Proven experience within a private household, luxury hotel, yacht, or high-end hospitality environment
• Excellent housekeeping and laundry skills
• Experience caring for luxury interiors, delicate fabrics, fine furnishings, and artwork
• Exceptional attention to detail and high standards of hygiene
• A discreet, trustworthy, and professional manner
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently
• A positive, hands-on, service-oriented attitude
• Excellent references from previous employers
• A valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) or willingness to obtain one
• Fluency in Dutch and/or English
